This is an early era, 1950s, insect brooch that caught my eye. I have a soft spot for nature-inspired work—notably insects, but this one is special. You can feel the age of it and a history that seems too far distant now. It is simple yet elegant, raw, sturdy, and carrying two small pieces of amber to fill out the body.
